The Mercedes W123 offered a lineup of executive cars produced by Mercedes-Benz between 1975 and 1986. The W123 models surpassed their predecessor, the Mercedes-Benz W114 models, as the most successful Mercedes, selling 2.7 million cars. Jump to Manuals
As for the chassis codes, the W123 includes the regular sedan, S123 the estate, C123 the coupé, V123 the Lang, and the F123 long bare chassis for conversions. These long-wheelbase versions were available as 7/8 seat saloons with works bodies, or as a chassis with front body clips for ambulance and hearse bodies.
The venerable W123 chassis produced by Mercedes-Benz from 1977 through 1985, especially the diesel variety, has a reputation for being unstoppable. “They will just run, and run, and run!” As a result many new owners of these classic vehicles find that the previous owner (s) have deferred maintenance.
The “Lang” versions could be ordered as 240D, 300D and 250 models
